Friends Gala 2002

The Friends celebrated their 5th Annual Fundraising Gala on October 23, 2002. Due to construction and muddy paths near the Library, the event was held at Derham Hall. We had delicious food, a stimulating speaker, Susan Davis Price, and marvelous door prizes.

 

Our featured speaker, Susan Davis Price is the well-known author of Minnesota Gardens.

Here she is signing copies of her most recent book, Growing Home: The Story of Ethnic Gardening.

 
Presidents; Karen Harwood current president and Roseanne Byrne, past president.  

Sharon Stoffel of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, Karen Harwood, and Carol Johnson, Director of Libraries, Audio-visual, and Archives are socializing.


 
Ann Sweeney and Sister Margery sampling delicious hors d'oeuvres.   Music throughout the evening was heard by Foxglove. The ensemble consists of Amy Shaw, flute; Neil Brock, whistles & concertina; and Brian Haskell, guitar.
